tellent Accountability Group

Sep 20th, 2018

What is tellent Accountability Group?

The tellent Accountability Group is a five-session guided program to help you prepare you for a career transition by clarifying your goals, developing your job search skills and building your confidence in a small group setting.

You will walk away from this program with a customized road map to help you achieve the goals that you set out at the beginning.

The group is made up of a maximum of six women in similar places in their lives that are striving for similar goals. This is a judgment-free zone where we can ask foolish questions, leverage each other’s energy and brainstorm solutions together in a guided format.

The commitment is five one-hour sessions held weekly by conference call.

Each person will be on their own accountability journey, supported by the other members and facilitator of the group. Resources and support will be customized and curated based on the individual and collective needs of the group, and may include:

  1. Reclaiming / redefining your identity through career transition
  2. Getting clear on your goals
  3. Identifying your skills and understanding your value
  4. How to tell your story and communicate your personal brand
  5. Job search strategies
  6. Commitment – develop your plan forward

We will guide you through the process of change, support and encourage you and ultimately hold you accountable for achieving the goals that you set out for yourself.

The sessions will be facilitated by Allison Lockett and supported by Jennifer Hargreaves.

Dates
Our next accountability group will start in January 2019.

Cost
The cost for tellent members is $97.00

Program format
The program is delivered through Zoom, a secure and private portal that you can dial into from wherever you are (you literally click a button to launch it from your computer). A Facebook messenger group will also be set up for mid-weekly discussions, sharing and support.

I participated in the Accountability Group and found it valuable to interact with a small group of individuals as we identified our work, life and career aspirations. The format worked well and the one hour commitment each week was perfect to move us forward. I appreciated the activities, connections, conversations, follow-ups and stories. Allison was an effective facilitator in ensuring that we were accountable to the commitments we made. I personally benefited from Alison reviewing my resume and providing me with solid feedback on how I could improve it.

An invitation to join Tellent’s first Accountability Group came at a perfect time as I was contemplating resigning from my job and was looking for some structure around exploring what that meant – and some support too! I found both in the Accountability Group. I liked that the group was small and that each of us were in slightly different places in our work or return to work journeys, but that we had a lot to offer one another in terms of resources, advice, and moral support. The weekly, one-hour, conference video call sessions were just right and our group leader, Allison Lockett, provided us with useful, insightful, and achievable exercises to do each week. I enjoyed the check-ins because over the group’s run, members took meaningful actions and found their way to greater clarity about what’s next, a change in job direction, a new job, etc. Our group is looking forward to keeping up with one another. I would highly recommend participating in an upcoming Tellent Accountability Group. It’s worth the time and small investment and Allison is a fantastic facilitator!

I participated in the first Accountability Group this past spring. It was invaluable to be able to meet women sharing similar career transitions while on very different paths. The group allowed me to speak to like minded people and take accountability for my efforts in self development. I enjoyed the personal development activities and the weekly check ins. It was a pleasure getting to know all of the women involved in the session and i hope to stay connected to them all.
